Base Mounting Method

For screw fixing, for concealed installation
Dovetail connector: Installation and disassembly without tools

Installation description

The depth of the shelf can be fixed by tightening the rear sleeve more firmly. If necessary, add a depth gauge to the construction.
The tighter the screw of the dovetail sleeves is tightened, the more difficult it is to slide the shelf on and off again.
Do not damage the dovetail slopes when drilling the rail! The shelf may then be difficult to slide in and the sleeve may be worn excessively in the event of frequent disassembly.

Planning and mounting attributes

Dovetail connector for concealed installation

Areas of application

The dovetail connector is a reinterpretation of the tried-and-tested dovetail principle.

It combines the aesthetic requirements of a concealed, detachable furniture fitting with a wide range of efficient application options.

Different system options are available to fit the respective area of application, from customised special solutions to large-scale industrial applications.

  • Shelving and compartment shelves
  • Doubling for front panels from 5 mm
  • Concealed, detachable panelling
  • Exhibition stand construction, easy to assemble and dismantle
  • Niche installation, as it can be slid open from the front
  • Invisible, detachable mitre joint connection
  • Refurbishment fitting, for subsequent stiffening of bulging side components

Advantages

  • Invisible mounting for reduced design
  • Detachable connections
  • Works with thin panels
  • Tool-free installation
  • Pressure and tension resistant

Comparison of dovetail connector direct / dovetail connector rail

The dovetail connector direct system includes all connection variants in which the fixing profile is milled directly into the material.

The dovetail connector track system includes all connection variants that contain tracks.

Option for edge or surface connection with the biscuit jointer

With this very efficient form of furniture connection, the typical dovetail fixing profile is milled directly into the material, or optionally into the edge or the surface. The suitability of the material for the respective application must be checked in advance. In addition to linear connection milling, numerous wedge pocket and hook-in milling operations are possible.

The corresponding CAD and CAM data are available for download.

The dovetail sleeve or the long sleeve can be used as the connecting counterpart. Suitable for plunge routers, CNC and concealed underfloor routers.
